As Christians we believe that everything that comes into our lives is either ordained or allowed by God. However, when we realise we are gay we automatically assume that God must have taken his eyes of us for a second only to turn back and find that we had all changed into homosexuals. Clearly this makes no sense and it's not scriptural. The bible says God knew everyday of our lives even before one came to pass. Your sexuality didn’t come as a surprise to God! He knew it was coming, he didn’t stop it, which means he has a plan for it in your life. Stop running from him and run to him, ask him what his plan for your life is.

When I state the above to some Christians they go on about God not intentionally bringing sin into your life. My reply to them is ‘show me where in the bible that it says that being gay is a sin?’. On the surface the bible looks as thought it condemns homosexual sex but nowhere does it say that being gay, being attracted to or falling in love with someone of the same sex is a sin.

God loves you and he longs for you to bring this issue to him – lets be honest, how well have you done without him? Not only does he want to lift this burden from you but he also wants to fulfil the purposes he had for bringing it into your life in the first place.

I understand your reluctance to bring this issue to God – you think that he will want to make you st8 and that’s not something you want. I’ve been where you are and I fully understand. I can’t say that God will or will not want to make you st8 as I don’t know the plan he has for you but I do not the plan he has for me. I know, without a shadow, that it is Gods will that I spend my life with a woman. My story is quite amazing and full of hope for Christian lesbians and once the story has its ending I will tell you it.
